The "her" in       Her Whisky Love

I'm still here!  As some of you may have realized I have been working with Bacardi and helping their 5 single malts gain a foothold in the USA over the past year. This has not allowed me to write as much as I would like but I am still visiting new distilleries all the time. Slowly but surely I will get them up here. I will always have and be her whisky love so please stay tuned! Still writing & posting when I can..

Thanks for bearing with me and in the meantime you can still find me on Instagram @herwhiskylove

Just a quick foreword before I write about my Yamazaki Distillery visit:

This is my last Japanese Distillery write up- for now. The only story I have left is on Daimon, a sake brewery, which should be really fun to write. I have had a few people reach out to me in regar...

Yoichi. This is Masataka Taketsuru’s first venture out on his own. He left Suntory knowing exactly where he wanted to build his first distillery. It would be on the shores of the Yoichi Bay where they have cold winters, a significant amount of snow and as much clean wa...

Fuji Gotemba- Kirin. Most of my Japanese distillery posts are going to be organized differently than Scotland, Ireland and the US. As you read and compare you will see that the technical and capacity side of my Japanese write-ups will be lacking. This is not a negative...

Chichibu probably wasn’t the best distillery to start my Japanese Whisky tour at, because now not much can live up to it. I was fortunate enough to have the lovely Gemma from Balvenie connect me with the Chichibu brand ambassador for a private visit of the facility. Th...

These stories are all personal opinion and my way of tracking and sharing my whisky travels with friends and family. I of course want accurate facts. I have had lovely and knowledgeable tour guides and if I have facts that are incorrect, it is most likely due to my lack of documentation. If this is the case, please feel free to write to me directly on the "Contact Me" page. I would love to hear from you and meet a fellow whisky lover. Thanks for taking part in my whisky education!
