The "her" in       Her Whisky Love

I'm still here!  As some of you may have realized I have been working with Bacardi and helping their 5 single malts gain a foothold in the USA over the past year. This has not allowed me to write as much as I would like but I am still visiting new distilleries all the time. Slowly but surely I will get them up here. I will always have and be her whisky love so please stay tuned! Still writing & posting when I can..

Thanks for bearing with me and in the meantime you can still find me on Instagram @herwhiskylove

Tullamore D.E.W. I’m going to do my best to be diplomatic about this one, but I would not recommend visiting the Tullamore D.E.W. Experience in Tullamore, Ireland west of Dublin. I quickly realized that anything called “experience” was going to be more of a historical...

Lagavulin. I decided to take a break from the distillery tour circuit and opted for a premier tasting. This article will be a bit about each dram I tried. Not only did we get to drink awesome Lagavulin during the tasting but it was paired with chocolates from Inverness...

Caol Ila. I never ordered this dram at a bar because I couldn’t pronounce it. I was missing out! Now it is one of my favorite drams. Although, I must say that if you like Caol Ila, the distillery might be a little bit of a letdown. It is definitely one of Diageo’s work...

Ian Macleod Distillers is a family run and owned business that has made quite a name for themselves in the Scotch Whisky industry. Not only do they own and produce Tamdhu single malt and a blending facility, but also Glengoyne and the Isle of Skye blend. To add to this...

Tomintoul. As most of you are probably like me with the Scottish dialects; I had trouble with this one. I was told by my lovely tour guide, Tom, who is also the distillery manager, that there is really only one true way to remember the pronunciation for this distillery...

These stories are all personal opinion and my way of tracking and sharing my whisky travels with friends and family. I of course want accurate facts. I have had lovely and knowledgeable tour guides and if I have facts that are incorrect, it is most likely due to my lack of documentation. If this is the case, please feel free to write to me directly on the "Contact Me" page. I would love to hear from you and meet a fellow whisky lover. Thanks for taking part in my whisky education!
